Blankney Farm Update – 11 October 2024

We’re now getting towards the end of our forage crop harvest for our crop drier and we are now busy finishing lucerne and timothy pellets.

BCC grass will now be cut for the final time and we have also completed irrigating for the year.

The grass and lucerne season has been a good one, with above average yields – despite what BCC say!

The factory is busy manufacturing animal feeds; please do have a look at our informational Facebook campaign, which gives a flavour as to why you should purchase our high fibre feeds!

Our maize harvest is 80% complete with good yields; our sugar beet harvest will also start very soon.

We are drilling our cereal crops despite having 60ml of rain in two days, and this has gone well. We are well up to date, which does make us feel relieved after the fun and games of Storm Babet!
