Blankney Farm Update – 3 November 2022
All of our main autumn cereals have now been drilled, with just planned, late established wheat, following lucerne, left to complete.
The crop drying season is nearly complete. We have just the final 250 acres of lucerne and 500 acres of grass left to cut. The grass has benefited from the warmer than expected last few weeks and we have harvested some very good quality grass which will help our chlorophyll extraction.
Sugar beet harvest continues, with some good yields.
This year we are happily hosting the Harmston Young Farmers bonfire party on 9th November. Stay tuned for some photos later this month!
