Blankney Farm Update – 30 October 2019

Last time we reported, we were hoping for dry conditions. This has not happened, as so far in September and October, we’ve had 240mm of rainfall which is 36% of our annual rain in 5 weeks. At this time of year, we would’ve hoped to have finished drilling wheat, but at present have only 35% of our wheat drilled. We continue to hope for dry conditions, but time is running out.

The grass drying season will end next week, which now completed harvests 1 and 2. Its been a good season with yields being in line with our 5 year average.
